Thanks. We launched from Johnson's just fine on Friday. Launched from Crops this morning, I don't recomend it unless you have a john boat.

so, I assume that the main bayou that runs in front of Johnson's Ranch stays open (from the vegetation) most of the year, but I suspect that many of the small bayous in that area are completely choked off? like Turtle Shell and Old Folk's Playground? is that about the way Caddo is now?

are there still pickerel in the lake? I used to catch a lot of them back in the 70's and 80's, but the last couple of times (sometime around 2000), I don't think I caught any.

I NEED to make a trip there after it cools off a little; I really miss that place.

Shady Glade just down from Johnson's has a ramp. I've never launched there so I really don't know much the conditions of the ramp. They do have a decent burger for lunch though.
