Went out the other morning and fished a couple of rivers close by. Took advantage of the cooler morning temperatures. Fished from 6:30am till 11:30am and caught some very nice Bull Rios and some perfect eating size Bluegill and Redear. Kept a few sunnies for the dinner table and released all of the Rios. The Rios were caught in shallow water holding by rocks and lily pads. The sunnies were caught holding by docks in 5 to 8 feet of water. Fish were caught using worms with a bottom technique. A bucket of gills and some nice Bull Rios. It just don't get any better. fish

Now that is hard to beat! Gills and Rios. Nice combination.

Side Note: How is the Crappie Bite! Also what type of Sunfish are you catching more of during this time of the year?

Thanks for the info. Is the creek bite about the same for the Gills as on the lakes and rivers?
