What do you guys think about micros. I'm torn and I need some opinions to help me decide what my next rod should be

I like them...I feel that they do cast a bit better and the sensitivity is better on them

There are rods that don't have micro guides and are really good rods. That being said, there are also some rods that are very good and have micro guides. Me personally, I don't have a specific preference. You should give them a try and see for yourself how you like them. I will say this, I had 2 falcon bucoo rods with micro guides and they were really bad. The rod felt light and sensitive. Just had bad guides. In that one particular rod, I would prefer regular guides over micro. Good luck.

I changed the micros on a couple of my rode to guides that are between regular guides and micros thinking about changing the rest of mine.

I just built a rod with micros and fished with it one time. In fishing with it, I could see no advantages in using micros, but I did see disadvantages, the guides that I used were too flimsy and bent very easily and these were not cheap guides. I will never use micros again. I prefer to use double footed Recoils but they are very expensive, preventing me from using them as much as I would like.

What guides did you use? Where did you get them from?

Just built a rod myself with micros and I actually really liked the micros I built with.

I like micros but it makes it impossible to tie a leader on. Knot gets hung up.

if you going to tie a leader or tie mono to braid the knot will bind in the micro eyes.

Thanks,
