Sure, they bite all summer. The big gills usually move out a little deeper in summer, so you may or may not find them close to the shoreline. Google and watch some YouTube videos on catching big bluegills. I'm by no means an expert on gills, but there are some on this forum that can advise you much better than I can.

Wanting to try catching some big bream. They are still biting but mostly through spawning. In general they will be in the shallow water for about an hour at sunup, then move deep. Try deep water close to shallow water and containing weed beds. They will be at the edges and holes of weed beds in the deeper water. Move if you do not get a bite right away. They will be harder to catch later in the heat of the day. Use crickets if you can, but bits of nightcrawlers will also work. Artificials are not as good this late in the season.

Every thing "Smithaven" said. May I add. Also fish around docks and overhanging tree limbs! If you are in a boat with a graph look for brush piles in 12 to 17 feet of water and fish around them. Also drop offs and ledges are holding some good fish. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Been catching a lot of nice Bluegill while fishing for Crappie. Catching em by brush piles in 12 to 16 feet of water during the heat of the day. Also catching nice ones in dock slips during the early morning.
