Sadly this is not about my dating life, but this is about some gator Sunfish hungry for my fly. Catches include BG's, Greens, and hybrids between the 2. They liked black colors today, coneheads and beadheads with rubber legs. Maybe cause the water was a little stained hmmm No love on the poppers, but I didn't really care cause the fish I caught were huge.

They are all fatties as mentioned! I'd rather have a good day catching them, that a cruddy day catching bass any day of the week! Those buggers put up a massive fight for their size. If they were bass sized, people would be targeting them as the number one fish around here! Plus a few good big ones like you caught, make some delicious dinner!

What weight fly rod are you using? I've been wanting one but can't decide what weight to get.

Thanks. I was thinking 3wt but I've never fly fished before. The fly fishing setup I'm wanting will be for bluegills and other sunfish only. Do you think a 3wt is to light?
