Monday HN & I set out to catch a few fish for a Fish Fry he has coming up.
We started the day sinking 4 condos that I had ready to put out and I cannot THANK HN enough for his help!!!!!
After Belinda built them for the most part and then moved them outta the way, she said "I don't want any part of sinking these" wife
We slipped out after most had already put in bolt
And I'm pretty sure we dropped them without being noticed ninja
Had to make 2 trips to get them deployed - that's the last time I make big piles like that hammer

The day started slow, no bites here, 1 or 2 at the next spot, find a new spot, 2 or 3 there.
We did end up catch a few shooting a couple of docks clap

As the sun got higher, the bite got better, but it wasn't the same presentation or pattern that had been working hmmm

Here's HN with a good'un thumb

Has anybody ever caught a twin paddle tail crappie noidea
I have roflmao

That fish was so weird, I turn it loose.
We were throwing borderline crappie back in the brink instructing them to tell Grandma that we were on the hunt cheers

We both agreed that it was a GREAT day to be on the water even with the 100 degree temp.
The wind was blowing enough to keep us cooled off and the shade from the clouds that would drift overhead almost made it pleasant.
I said "ALMOST" - LOL

About midday, I made the remark that we hadn't been counting the fish, but the livewell was filling up, we probably have about 30 in there.
After a quick count, we had 35 banana

We ran to another area of the lake, but the bite was not on there and by the time we got back to the general area we had started, it had slowed way down.

HN is full of hunting & fishing stories from days long gone which made for very enjoyable company,
but I almost split my gut laughing when I missed a hit and HN proudly stated "Well I got mine"
His rod was loaded up while he brought the fish up to the surface, but as soon as water broke, the fish spit his jig right at him roflmao
I had trouble telling him that he "HAD his" I was laughing so hard roflmao roflmao roflmao

As we came around a secondary point, I stated it sure smells fishy here........That smell got stronger & nasty!!!!
Then we spotted something odd....3-4 turtles pushing a fish basket across the lake that was full of sandies & catfish

We ended the day by graphing the condos that we had put out 1st thing - fish were already on them!!!
We didn't boat any from there, but I missed a couple and HN had 1 on, but got hung up in the condo & it got off realmad

We quit with 44 in the box, could have had a 2 man limit if that had been our intent, but it really never was

HN was fishing a Mr. Fry in Monkey Milk and I was using a Mr. Fry in Pearl Ice

Todd is a great guy and has a few stories of his own. He failed to mention that right after the "I got mine" bite, I flipped it back out and it only dropped about six feet and I caught one of my best fish of the day😃 I am looking forward to finding some fish and getting him on a few. The few places that I have caught a fish or two didn't produce a fish for us.
