Anybody in the DFW area have a Great Lakes, specifically Sturgeon Bay SD card I can borrow, rent or buy? I need the bigger one for a Lowrance X28 I thought I had one lined up but it's not making a connection all the contacts are bad.

Have you tried cleaning the contacts with an eraser? Might help...

I have a HotMaps Classic North NE/CLAS-N Dec 2004 that you could borrow. I'm thinking that it should work.

If it's a card that has a micro SD in it, if you take that micro out, clean those contacts and re install, it may help. I've had that problem before.

Monte, What map card are you trying to use? If you are looking for a new one, look at the Navionics Nav+...you will be able to download the areas in the Great Lakes you want to fish, but once you return home you can purge the card and download your normal lakes. It is the only Navionics card that will work in the older units but still allow you the sonar charts layer.
Here are a few screenshots for that area, but see the webapp link below if you want to look at others:

Check out the data for the areas you want to fish at the Free Webapp:
