I think we will have our company tournament there next weekend, 40-45 boats, should be lots of fun.

Gosh, I hope Drummond1 is . . . joking.

But, if the show attracts some new blood out there, the lake rules allow only 15 trailered boats on the water at a time. Not sure if it is enforced, or not, and I have never seen more than about a half dozen bass boats and maybe the same number of small crafts (kayaks, jon boats, etc.) at one time.

There weren't more than 5 of us on the water in various vessels last Saturday, at least until I left around 1PM and no big boats I recall at all. 102 weather will do that!

*** Mark, I am almost certain Bill was out there twice. I don't know when the fishing parts were filmed, but I was out on the water when Bill interviewed David Gunter, one of the people who run the park. What gives on that? I know Bill usually gets it all in the can, as he says, in one shooting.

Of course, he tore it up as he almost always does.

Brad

I wouldn't worry too much, given it's right by Squaw and there are a half dozen other big water lakes most of us have to pass to drive to it... but for a kayak/pond boat, that place is paradise.

Most others won't bother with an idle only lake like that, they have to fire up the 200 horses for at least a little bit each hour on the water to be truly happy fishing (and a lot of days, I'm one of them!)

We go in a big boat almost once a week. Fishing is always good. Won't be anymore.

Bill and Dirk made a trip out in the Tracker 195 to make a show and had to cut the trip short so they came back in the Nitro. They've made a couple of extra trips in the last month trying to get shows ahead of Bills trip to Canada.

I dont think this will affect the amount of traffic this lake sees much. Hours are limited, its expensive to launch a big boat, big boats are trolling motor only, and the 15 boat maximum also comes into play.

Nah! A 15 boat limit, higher than average fees for non-residents, a no motor lake, small at 160 or so acres, near a really superior fishing lake (Squaw over the winter months, for sure).

I think it might see some increased interest . . . but fleeting, then back to its normal seasonal trends.

With its clear water, some of the best in North Texas for sure, it is a superb lake for the kayaks/canoes/bass busters and so forth. Lots of fun! David, John and their wives are great out there running the place.
