Taking Dad out in the morning. My last two trips to Fork were brutal, got skunked both times. I know the fishing is tough right now. Hopefully we run into a few to make the morning more fun. We'll fish from 6:00-9:00, gotta meet a client at 1:30. Wish us luck, I have a feeling we're going to need it. Even if we don't catch anything, I know it'll be time well spent.

I just rigged up:
Showerblows shorty and YM if we see em bustin on top early
Sexy Shad: 2.5 sq bill, x-one knocker, 3xd and 5 xd to cover the water column
3/16 tx rig, probably a rattlesnake (I think this might be the ticket for the slow action lately...)
Weightless fluke (a new to me go-to, thanks to Pack and his wealth of knowledge/expertise)
1/2 FB jig (always tied on)

If you're looking for many bites, and a good chance at a 5-6lb quality fish, I would recommend going to Mountain Creek Lake. Easiest lake to fish, throw at a point with a 2.5 SS and you will catch them.

Fished last Thursday morning with 3 bass and a drum. Saturday morning with 2 bass but one was right at 3 1/2 pounds. Good quality fish on a 1.5 on the rocks. Threw jigs, t-rigs, topwater popper and spook, weightless senko. No bites. Good luck

Just make sure your truck is locked and everything taken out of value.

Well, it sucked. Caught two sandies and a hybrid. Damn, it got hot quick!

It's been tough this year! To put in perspective..... Last year 16 to 18lbs to win almost every week. (3 fish limit) Also, we have a 8.5 lber or bigger pot. Last year already won 5 or 6 times. This year not won 1 time yet and it's taking 5.5 lbs to win...

It's been tough for me the last couple months everywhere. With all the new water, we will hopefully be rewarded the next couple years. Until then, at least we get to try. I don't fish RH much, because I hate dealing with the rec-boaters that don't have a clue how to drive. So dangerous. If I get time during the week I'll hit it up.

It's always extra good when you can take your dad fishing anywhere.
Time on the water or in the field with your family is priceless.
