I can buy a future beach spirit kayak for about $100 from a friend..I've never owned a yak before and never been on one. I think it's 10ft but I'm not sure, what all should it have and what all would I need to put on it and where all could I take it?

Kayak seat or something for support and cushion. Paddle and life jacket and whistle. Also a paddle leash or a way to store or hold your paddle while you fish. A way to transport your fishing rods and gear or bait. Think crate with rod holders. Possible way to tie an anchor to yak if that's your thing. Also look at weight capacity of the yak and don't exceed 75% of max for a good rule of thumb. Others may say you can and it's doable but not for me. With a small yak your yak won't track as straight as a 14 or 16 footer. But the best yak is one you can afford.

For a 100.00 yak it's worth a shot.. you will pay 10 times that when you get hooked on the sport wink

Think about how you will carry it around and where you will store it. Priorities are a good supportive seat, a good paddle, and a comfy PFD. The rest you can figure out by just using it, depending on whether you fish a lot, just paddle around, etc.

Always pay attention to the weather.

I'm not at all familiar with that kayak you mentioned but I've seen a couple of people who got turned off to kayaking because of going with a kayak that just didn't fit them.
They had a bad experience and never gave the sport a chance, so I hope you keep that in mind and don't judge your experience just by that kayak especially if it doesn't meet your expectations.
Buying cheap is a great way to get into the sport, but that is what it is, and there are a whole lot of better options out there, so that is something to keep in mind.
