Has anyone had any luck on Cooper? Taking two 7 year old kids in two weeks.

If it's anything like when it's come up a lot in the past is probably like one big brushpile now. I remember fishing 12-15' deep in green willows and they were everywhere!! That's the lake that got me addicted to the thump but thats been quite some time ago!!

My reply mighta been confusing! My experience was about like yours 8ball. Plus I gotta drive past too many other lakes to get there now. Used to pull a buncha big white crappie outta that lake though. Shame it ended up the way it did. I woulda told you in the late 90s people were gonna forget about Fork!

My son and I went Sunday. Fished 2 brushpiles, 24 and 28 fow. Caught 3 keepers in 3 hours....... It's a shame Cooper is like this now. I don't know if it's because it got so low or what but it's just not like it used to be. Maybe someday it will get better......

Mark down another fisherman with poor results on Cooper this year. This lake still has a bunch of fish in it but I don't have a clue where they are. The lake was so low for so long it has created a bunch of new habitat for the fish. Those brush piles that have always been reliable are no longer the best option for the fish. We have been going to Fork rather that get disappointed at Cooper.

I have a friend who chases white bass in the summer. He used to clean up on Cooper. He has not had any luck on the Sandies either. Going to take time for the lake to settle down and to find the fish.
