I'm heading down to Corpus this Friday and bringing my kayak with me. The condo we are staying in on the water near the Billing's Bait Stand, the small bridge right after you get off the causeway. Any tips or reports on places to kayak/wade fish near there? I've seen Dead mans hole and Kates hole on a few maps.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and did well from the kayak and wading in the packery channel flats. We put in at that bridge you are talking about so it is an easy paddle. I picked up a limit of keeper reds and released lots of small trout and other species - all before 12:00 each day. Might be worth a look.

Had a good weekend of fishing! Had a limit of flounder and specks Thursday night, along with this 22inch speck on Saturday morning in the kayak.
