The blues were on fire Saturday evening!

Had the pleasure of fishing with some fellow TFFers. Tony, Jared and a gentleman nicknamed V met me out there a little before dark and it was on. We were fishing in about 4-5 fow in the creek channel. They were eating everything we threw at them including live bluegill, cut bluegill, minnows and chicken breast. At times I couldn't get my rod into the rod holder before they would take it. I had a blast!!!

My big fish went 8.5 lbs and I think Jared caught one around 7 or 8 lbs.

This is mine and V's final catch. Mine are on the left and V's are on the right

After I cleaned my catch

Jared sent me this pic of his catch

I don't have a pic of Tony's catch... wink

We probably totaled around 65-75 fish between the 4 of us.

It was a real blast! Like a blue cat feeding frenzy. I think we could have caught them on top water bass lures.

After the past few weekends, my freezer is completely full (even had to put 6x gallon freezer bags full in my coworkers deep freezer) so next weekend I'm gonna target only the big blues. Gonna take about 4 dozen BIG live bluegill and only use whole ones. And I think this time im not gonna fish on the bottom. I got hung up one too many times.

Think I'm on for round 2. Even though I'm pretty sure I got my poison ivy rash from the launch site. It's only supposed to by 98 on Saturday!

Good to hear Jared. I wear pants and avoid all the plants best I can.

I'm gonna try and launch around 3 or 4.

Pm me your number so I have it
