As I have mentioned before I'm 6'6 320 and have had problems finding a kayak that I could afford... Well last night prayers were answered lol.... Traded for a 11.5 Perception Striker.... Took it out this morning and I think it'll work and get me used to the feel of fishing out of a yak...... Now for the fun time of carrying this thing up three flights of stairs which is not fun but anywho here's pics of the new ride!!!!!

That is the same kayak I opted for as my first kayak. It certainly isn't light. eek

However it is stable as all get out. I've not tipped yet, despite my clumsiness and a LOT of close calls.

Nice! take it slow and enjoy being on the water!!!

Looks like you have a short bed tacoma too? I got one of the $50 bed extenders at harbor freight, which really helps.

Get to know someone who lives on the first floor and likes to fish and work out something where you can store it at his apt......or..........
Would you be able to drag it up those stairs? Depending on the stairs you might get a little stair rash but it would be better than carrying.

Just one more cast!

Looks good. I got my 1st kayak when I lived on the 3rd story. I thought it would be no big deal, boy was I wrong. It was not fun or easy carrying that thing up after a day of fishing. Check into a pulley system to lower it from your balcony. Good luck

Congrats on your new kayak! Fun times ahead for sure

I'd look into a pulley system as stated above thumb
