Summer has set in for sure now and the fish are doing their late summer thing. In my opinion you can catch just as many, but you might have to pay a little closer attention. This past week at both Ray Roberts and Fork you had to be on your toes feeling your line and watching your rod tip. A lot of fish were still very aggressive but some were very light bites and you had to let them take it! Minnows are your FRIEND!! We had good success at both lakes though! Water depth is extremely important right now! When you get your first bite, make sure you pay attention to what depth that fish was. most likely they will all be at that depth! most of my august weekends are booked full but i have dates during the week and a friday or two. I will continue fishing until deer season gets here and then I need to give all of my attention to the guys that are deer hunting with me. I have a lot of dove hunters in September as well between our two properties but we always have time for some crappie trips! I am offering trips for 3 people at $250 for 5-6 hours. If you are wanting an affordable trip and want to catch some fish, let me know. price includes both Fork and Ray Roberts!!
