By Berkley Lighting Rods Does This Mean it will slide in to itself 6inches above the Blank for easier storing in your Rod locker? Or are they Telescopic like a old school radio antennae that goes from a 4" to about 2'. I own a couple of 1 peace 7' Rods that the same Brand and same model, But are "ONE PEACE" and i m really Comfortable with this rod. its super sensitive and Light weight, metal Guides ETC... Just want to make sure what i m getting in to here before i order a few off line.

I have a bass pro extra heavy 7'11" and it slides, never a problem and it only slides about 6-8" for storage.

I wouldn't take a Berkley Lightning rod if you gave it to me for free. They are SEVERELY under powered and VERY cheaply made. The cork is the worst quality cork I've ever seen on a fishing rod and the eyes look like they're hot glued on. And a word of advice, those telescopic rods lose a LOT of sensitivity by having the sliding section. Any rod that's not one solid piece is going to have diminished sensitivity.

my opinion is about the same. Except, for free, I'd probably take it and use it at the beach house.

My next door neighbor has a hole bunch of those rods with matching [censored] reels... phlugers(or whatever they are).

He is always gluing new guides on the rods and picking backlashes. Haha. Once he chunked the entire combo into the lake.

Sounds like a great rod to me. Lol.

I have a Falcon Low-rider flipping rod, that is 7"6" and telescopes down to about 6' long. Great rod, and never any issues. Would not buy Berkley lightning rods, they are just really cheap and not well made.
