How do you delete tracks but leave your waypoints saved? My tracks appear to be taking up a lot of data. Thanks.

Press menu twice to get to menus. Cursor to the "Nav" tab. Go down to "Waypoints, Routes, Tracks". Once there you will have the option to delete, export, modify, etc them and can select them individually or do multiple selections. This is the way I do it to export everything to my micro SD card which I then transfer to my computer for historical purposes and then delete from the Humminbird head unit.

Thanks RBD. I'll give it a try again. It's been a month since I've been on the water. We were anchored crappie fishing and I tried and tried to figure this out. I guess I just missed it. I appreciate the advice.

You don't need to go into the Nav menu to delete Current Track. Current Track is all that is created since you did a Delete Current Track or Saved Current Track.
Once you use up the total Track Points of a Track, the unit deletes the beginning and adds to the end.
Each Track can have up to 20,000 Track Points.

That is ONLY if you have SAVED TRACKS that you want to delete or EDIT to change to HIDDEN so they won't be displayed.
If you have never saved any Tracks, there will be none in the Waypoint Library to delete.

The last time out I got a warning on my screen my memory was full and I needed to delete some data.

I just got this unit this spring and still figuring things out. But I have noticed on the lakes I've been to more than once I see the tracks I made on the previous trip. So that tells me it is saving every where I go. I think this is what ate up my memory. I only have about 20 waypoints saved so far.

This is why I was trying to delete ALL my tracks. I can see specific situations where I need to know a track but generally I don't need this function on.

I think I need to figure out how to delete the tracks, then set the unit where it doesn't record the tracks unless I tell it to.

Do the Delete Current Track.

Do not know if Stop Tracking is a choice with the Helix model.
That would be one of the choices in the Current Track menu in the main Nav menu.

Deleting current track does do that but will start new track which will eventually cause same problem. If you are going to use tracking then periodically save them to your micro sd card then delete from head unit. If you are not using tracking then turn it off until you do need it.
