I need a couple new batteries. 1 big motor and a deep cycle.
Recommendations?

I don't know enough about the high end batteries to comment on them-
I have an Interstate for cranking and a Walmart deep cycle-
No issues with either one-

I have heard that the gel type are a lot better, if you don't mind me asking what are the advantages of it? with my batteries I always put a trickle charge on it as soon as I get home from a trip and that helps with its longevity

Batteries seem to have come a long ways in a short amount of time. At least that is the way it seems to me.
AGM batteries closed cell seem to be the way to go!

Just one more cast!

Never had a problem with Walmart batteries. Got some Interstates that have held up very well too.

There's a big topic at the top of the Boats And Motor section that's should answer any questions you have.
