Lots of good fish still being caught on the river. Only had a couple trips that were slow. Most days we are catching several double digit fish. Haven't been posting much because I'm basically booked up but my calendar starts to open back up in mid August. Starting to see some good reports coming from the lake as well. In a couple more weeks I'm gonna get my big boat back to it's spot and start offering lake trips again but I'm gonna be doing the air boat trips on the river as well. As long as we are catching good on the river I'll keep after them. It relieves some of the pressure on the fish in the lake and gives my customers a chance to catch a river monster they can mount. It's been a great week below Lake Texoma.

John, I have a question for you. Do you think the numbers of fish that went over the spillway will be offset by the fact that the lake has been given a few months off from fishing pressure. basically, do you think striper fishing will quickly recover this fall?

I sure miss fishing that lake. I look forward to the first picture you post where that formerly beautiful lake is not brown.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Hard to say buddy. The biologist said the spawn was a very good one and I'm seeing some reports that are encouraging but we won't know where we are at till the lake gets back to normal. Only time will tell but I'm ready for it to get back to normal. Glad I have the airboat so I can work and support my family but the big boat is more fun for me to fish out of.

Good for you john. Glad you are able to get some trips and are catching good fish. Hopefully this fall/winter will be great fishing on the lake. thumb
