Went to Aquilla this morning. Fished from sunrise until about noon. Started out fishing standing timber in 18-20 FOW north of the bridge by dairy hill boat ramp for Crappie. Didn't get a bite after fishing many different trees with jigs. Minnows may be the key but I didn't take any. After no luck with Crappie I started to fish for Sand Bass. I fished main lake humps fishing off the humps in about 15-20 FOW bouncing a slab off of the bottom. I caught 12 Sand Bass and one nice size Crappie. It was a windy day, but that sure is a nice and peaceful lake.
