Thanks "Gitter" for the reply! Those water holes are anywhere from 3 to 5 feet deep. Some of em hold some pretty nice fish. They are trapped there until the river rises and starts flowing strong. The Perdernales has a lot of limestone areas and they can dry up very fast especially without descent rainfall. Thanks Chuck. I was just wondering. Also it seems those water holes can make a good fishing spot for the Racoon.
