A friend told me about a coworker who made one and is having success on lakes using it. The general idea is a PVC constructed device similar to a potato launcher , using a schrader valve and a portable air compressor that he plugs into his trucks cig lighter. He catches shad, bluegill, drum, etc., blends it into a pure and fills an 8 inch PVC pipe (same width as barrel) with a pure/water mixture , then takes his leader with everything attached (weight, hook, and cut bait chunk), and drops it into the tube in the mixture and freezes it. Grabs the leader and pulls on it until it pops out of the PVC freezer tube, drops the ice block into the barrel , attaches leader to main line, and launches bait out 175-200 yards with a nice chum mixture that disperses as it melts. Anyone else ever done this ? Have any success? I've got an old potato launcher that I could convert in about 5 minutes, I just don't have a blender that I could do this with and not get my own head stuffed in it.

I haven't tried it but I've seen some videos on you tube of people doing that.

My buddy got some videos of his coworker using his. Pretty neat. He took a nice 160psi bicycle pump and hiked back somewhere on pat cleburne and was launching shad-sickles out about 150 yards and landing some decent ones. Even a gar strange enough. I'd catch snakes and launch em out personally to pass the time lol. I also played with mine a little bit and ended up shooting a can of STP belt conditioner through my wall in the garage. Whoops. Feel like a 16 year old again hahahah !

Cool idea but seems kinda gimmick-ish. A balloon tied to a lifesaver is much easier and cheaper.
