If you want to catch small ones, put on a small lure and find grass. Otherwise, I haven't caught anything of size the last two weeks.

I spent most of the day with a small spinner bait around the grass and nada. Only caught one dink today on a tree in the grass using a t-rig.

To be honest I'm not a fan of spinnerbaits. On heavily pressured lakes, all the fish in them have seen every variation of spinnerbait. I caught 5 small ones yesterday and a 2 lb catfish all on a 3/8th oz jig in shad color.

I was thinking to myself "I bet everyone else has been throwing spinner baits" around the grass as I kept chunking and winding and not catching anything grin

I did try swimming a jig through the grass a few times and hitting all the trees and lay downs with t-rigs.

I've been doing some looking at google maps and may have a few areas to key in on next time.

I was out there yesterday and missed four good bites. I ended up catching one about 2 lbs on a small worm. I haven't been fishing in months and haven't been on Arlington in a couple of years. I was major rusty but with the bites I did get, I'll be back out there, heck I need the practice!

I have given up on the spinner bait at Arlington for awhile. They haven't bitten it in a long time. Seems like they only want worms or creature baits for me.

Anyone know if there is a structure/depth map of Arlington?

I have been searching for a good map of Arlington for ever and have never found one. I haven't had much luck there recently and was out last night. I hit a cove and there were millions of baitfish everywhere. I have never seen so many in my life. I guess they have so much food right now they can be picky on the lures.

Try this webpage.

Center the map on the lake you want and then zoom in. The detail for Arlington is quite adequate.
