Got up real early to meet Rob at Whitney. We launched at a little after 6am. The day didn't start out so well. My first 3 fish were 2 gaspergoo and 1 catfish. We searched quit a bit before finding them West of the island. Found some good schools of sandies with striper mixed in and some would surface for a short time. We would locate a good school but hard to keep them under us so our strategy was to leave the i-plot down while we searched with the big motor on idle. When we would spot them Rob would hit the spot lock and I would shut down the big motor. This worked for a good hour or so and then they left the area. Didn't count but we each caught and released about 25. Here is Rob with a double. Also these fish would hit hard and give you a goood fight even the little ones.
