i really like the look of this technique. i spent three days getting the method right. still need practice but i can get the crackle to work every time now. (i think).

It looks pretty good. I have looked at the videos on that. It's just really limited on what you can do with it unless you just want black/white baits.

not sure why everyone seems to think it's only good with b & w. i know the selections for crackle finishes on furniture are unlimited. can't think of any reason why lures would be any different. the crackle is activated by the acrylic paint top coat and opaque colors may work best.
i'm getting ready to experiment with some other color combinations to see what happens. i do know the more contrast there is between the base coat and the top coat, the better the end look. we'll see.

I want to see one in a red craw, on a 1.5 and I bet it would be an amazing fish catcher.
