Yesterday took one of my twins out to texoma for his first time, we where in the wrong area or the wrong lures as we didn't see anything. However it was close to a repeat of my first trip out there 30 years ago. Had a 22' Lews pontoon up on the point north of Grandpappys with a guy waving his arms when we got within sight of him, showed my son good boatsmanship and gave up fishing to tow him back in. 30 years ago my first trip we where on the other end of the rope, broke down and being towed in. The craziest thing was I saw a boat about 100 yards from this guy and they did nada, saw 2-3 other boats go by the area before we got there and they didn't stop to help. Rally makes me question the helpfulness of people on the lake at times.

Good job, good people are hard to find sometimes. Been stuck on the lake a few times, not a good feeling.

Nice job man! I have been on both ends of the rope a time or two myself.

If you are a boater any length of time, you will be the tow boat at times and the towee at other times. Thanks for being a responsible boater. I think it is a law that a boater helps another boater in distress. It is a helpless feeling to be stranded out in the water. bang

Nice job. I too have been on both ends of the rope. Usually what comes around goes around.

Way to go. I was broke down right outside of Highport a couple years ago, my 8-9 yr old son was paddling with an oar and I had a ski on the other side of the boat while out with my wife's boat. Waved at several boaters that just waved back, if they even acknowledged us.

I did end up testing the kill switch, and got the boat in holding the leads together. A couple of the guys I confronted at the ramp that passed me up were drunk as hell. So guess it was good I didn't get that tow in.

Good story. I have been on the needing towing help end of things before. And it was a ski boat that eventually dragged us to the dock. I'll be sure to help a stranded boat sometime in the future. Good reminder.

its one of those things that you just have to do. Ive been on both ends of it. Ive towed a couple people already this year on lake Lewisville. Ive also fixed a starter on a guys outboard this year as well. It makes you feel good. All i ask for is that the next time the person I am helping sees someone in distress that they extend the favor and pay it forward.
