Was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on an area to start (shallow or deep). Coming from Oklahoma. Only going to be there a couple of days, anything to speed up the process would be appreciated.

I can tell you that it really sucked for me this afternoon and evening. I fished from about 5:00PM till dark and I am not ashamed to say I did not have a single bite. I fished hard too. Nothing up shallow and could not locate the bait out deep. It was brutal.

I fished Fork last Monday, Thursday and Sunday. Each day from 6am-2pm.

Monday had 14 fish, biggest 6 lbs or so fishing solo.

Thursday had 9 fish, biggest 7-7.5 fishing solo.

Sunday was tougher, of course took a good friend and bite was tough. We had 6 fish and biggest was 4.5.

Started in 12-15 FOW and moved deeper when sun got higher, finished in 17-24 FOW. Each day had a few solid unders and mostly slots 3-4 pounds.

I purposely have only been fishing a drop shot to try and get a little more confidence in the technique. Just been fishing some of the deeper "community holes",so no secret spots or anything.

Good Luck

Also was out there this weekend. She has been tough as of late for us. But what I did find was that if we did stay late the sand bass would school down by mouth of Little Caney each evening. We used 6-10 XD's in parrot and Tennessee Shad respectively and caught the blacks pretty decent in 10-20 fow. Watch your graph for the lazy fish. Also had some takers on a flutter spoon. But just pulling up on a spot and working it was a beating. The fish are suspended big time and scattered. Hope this helps some.

Be ready to fish deep techniques for sure. I don't think I'd waste my time shallow. Find'em on your electronics around 20' and spend time finding out what they are biting on or you'll find yourself with no bites at the end of the day. Good luck.

Deep on a swimbait was the ticket this morning.

There has been and will be a good shallow bite. Yesterday was just an off day. Probably operator error.

You could spend the entire day in Little Caney... Tons of good shallow and deep spots... Try the East bank line about half way in for shallow areas and at the mouth for deep structure.

Swim jig and flipping grass has been consistent. Wind blown is key for me. Here are some pics from the last couple days.
