Just got a 7'3" abu Garcia villian for $70. Ordered the new shimano citica to pair it up with. Trying to decide what to use this rig for, any suggestions? Fish lots of docks, wood, and rocks

That's what I was leaning towards. I've been throwing a lot of finese jigs and didn't want to overlap too much.

Oops my bad, 7'3" heavy fast action. 7.1.1
As of now I have a 7'mh I use for trig and finese jigs, 7'6" hf I've been using for jigs, football jigs, and Crig. I was thinking using that as a Crig and using new rod as a jig rod for footballs and flipping jigs? Ya'll use a heavy trig very much? 3/8oz up?

Haha got a topwater rod, I'm thinking a deep trig rod. For points and Ledges?

You see and hear a bite.

You can use that on any technique thats heavy for deep structure. I would even flip with it but I prefer shorter flippin rods.

I think that's what I'm going to do. Use it as a trig for Ledges and points and when I go to a lake with grass I can Punch with it and the 7'6" Loomis. Being 6'4" I prefer 7'+ rods
