does anybody have any tips on what to fish on the red river during october. me and my dad have a bass champs championship there and have never been there. any little thing helps... thanks

If there's a chance u can prefish other then the days before, I'd come look around. Specially with all the new sandbars

the only time we are prefishing is the day before the tournament... but its a 2 day tournament so im sure we will come across some new stuff..

Not really. Still way above normal but it's getting there. Pretty muddy still. I might go look around in next 2 weeks but not up for finding new sandbars. You can launch at Marina and get out on main river now. Said pretty good size sandbar at Whitehouse entrance.

If you have never been on the Red , I would advise to talk to your insurance man before going. It is a very dangerous river to navigate.
