Heading to lake worth tomorrow morning. Is the lake safe to run? Looking on navionics and up north it looks shallow and has flooded timber all over. Can you run safely on the northern end or no? Thanks

Do NOT run on pad past the 199 bridge unless you know what your doing. It is Buoyed up there and you can run them... but if your off a little it can get ugly fast. If you must run, as your headed from the mainlake up to the 199 bridge go under the right (south) 3rd of the bridge and then direct to the first buoy, then follow them around the bend. Its no wake from just around the corner all the way to the river. If your 2-3 boat widths off the buoys your in danger of hitting stumps in 5-6 ft of water that are freaking petrified, hardest stumps on the planet up there.

Has it always been no wake around the corner? I thought I remember seeing guys run all the way up the river.

Kevin, used to be able to run the river. A few years ago the residents on the lake made a pretty strong case and got it changed to no wake. To many close calls coming around the blind corner with kayakers and people just floating in the middle of the boat lane. You have to shut down in less than 4ft of water by the last docks on the right headed up, then idle all the way.

That's good to know, because I was one of the guys I remember running all the way to the river...haha. Glad I wasn't doing something illegal. That run always freaked me out anyways, so it's good that I have to slow down now!

There IS a channel beyond the 199 bridge to head up north towards EM BUT, man you sure better be careful...go SLOW...watch and use your depth finder!!
That is where a number of good fish are caught.
But, again, be careful ....and roflmao if you get hung....DO NOT get out of the boat to 'push off'...there ARE gators there.... promise.
Good luck
