Lake Fork... Where to stay? Boat slip? #10988647 07/20/15 04:17 PM

For the past 25 years, my dad, 2 friends, and their dad, all go on a Fall fishing trip. We typically go to Toledo Bend or Sam Rayburn; however, we are staying a little closer to home this year. We are going to fish Lake Fork -- then maybe pop over to Sandlin or Monticello for a day.

Question: what is a good place to stay on the east side of Lake Fork? And are there any places that have a boat slip, so we can keep our boat in the water at night?

Thanks in advance.
Alan

You're a guide. You're supposed to know east side from west, Skeeter.

Stay at Reagans right near Sandlin State Park in their trailers.

You will have Monty, Sandlin, Cypress at your door.....

There is not a place to stay on east side with a boat slip to use. Lake fork marina is on the west side but fork is not that big of a lake and does not take long to run to east side from Lfm. Can't beat the accommodations there either.

LFM or Oak Ridge are best options. I prefer the food at Oak Ridge.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will check back in late October to see how the fishing is going. We will be fishing the first week of November.

The wife and I just stayed at Lake Fork Marina last night. Never been there before and was very well pleased. Good restaurant right there on the place and they have boat slips (by reservation). We were in an RV spot so I can't tell you about the motel rooms but the way everything else looked, I bet they are clean.

Only place I know of on Fork with boat slips is Lake Fork Marina. Nice folks & good food.

I like Oak Ridge too but no slips.

Popes has slips, again not on the east side,
If I had to leave my boat in a slip I'd use LFM.

Fishermens cove Marina in Williams creek , has slips and easy to run out of when it's dark, I've memorized so good when it's still dark in the morning I don't need a spotlight to run out of it.
