Ramp is closed for repairs according to an employee who thought it was funny that boats showed up to launch. Took allot to not toss the fool in the lake. Didn't ask whe it will reopen but it's the LAST time I use their facility for anything after this guys response.

Was it an actual manager or smart [censored] kid working a Summer job? This is not good news for me because I am scheduled to have my boat picked up there in the morning...using that ramp.

Never was a fan of Silverlake, cant wait for some of the better ramps to open back up.

last week they had one of two lanes closed repairing concrete.
don't you think Core will open the high water ramp soon? water is coming down pretty quick.

Here's hoping they made enough money charging $20 per boat to fix the damage caused.. launching boats on a road with a saturated sub grade typically leads to some pretty severe damage.

Here's hoping they made enough money charging $20 per boat to fix the damage caused.. launching boats on a road with a saturated sub grade typically leads to some pretty severe damage. for all the complaints about $20 I bet Silverlake lost a bunch of money between road repair, special dock, and parking lot attendant. I have been very thankful for them needing to take care of my boat house in the flood.

No it was a older guy with silver lake shirt. Don't give two [censored] about the politics but his attitude was uncalled for. I wasn't the only bass boat that pulled in and he seemed to find that funny. I understand that [censored] happens from time to time. Salvaged the day at worth with my daughter and caught a few. Tried calling to see if there was a timeframe and the girl that answered didn't even know it was closed either SMH. I'm in my calm and happy place now! Thanx for letting me rant a bit😜

Silver Lake is on Lake Grapevine. It is a privately owned ramp. The ramp is really just a steep road entering the lake. It was the only ramp open on Lake Grapevine. I have a co-worker who pulled his sailboat out last week as he did not want to renew his boat slip lease at Scott's Landing. With all of the ramps currently closed, you would be forced into renewing your boat slip lease as none of the marinas will go month to month on a slip lease and there is no open ramp to pull boats out.
My coworker did mention the big holes in the ramp/road. He has 4WD and was able to power thru whereas some others were getting stuck.
