Does anyone who fishes offshore live in Dallas that can bring me some good red meat fish. Looking for cut bait for a tuna trip in next few weeks. I'll pay for the cut bait but needs to be red meat fish. Thanks and you can just private message me.

Try the Asian grocery stores. I like Hiep Thai on Walnut at Jupiter in Garland.

Why don't you go down to the thread on TX Griz fishing trip that's coming up in a couple of weeks and see if some of those guys are willing to catch and bring back some bonito for you.

They can be bribed ... peep

Every once in a while a truly brilliant idea is dropped amongst us peasants. This qualifies, especially if the bribing does happen. grin

I'd be glad to bring back some bonito meat, but If you're going tuna fishing They'll want fresh stuff. most popular way is is to sacrifice the first 2-3 blackfin you catch to chunk-bait.

This is true if this "tuna trip" was a floater trip for Yellowfins but he didn't say.

If the trip is for blackfins behind shrimpers we use frozen bonito all the time and it works fine. In fact we usually keep the first few of the bonito we catch for chunking ..... if we don't have fresh shrimper cull. The bonito won't hit bonito . I don't know how the can tell the difference but they can.

I'm
Fishing floaters out in deep water. The shrimp boat fishing is usually in October for me. We go for two days at a time and just don't wanna kill time trying to find bonita or jacks. Want some good red meat bait on boat and head straight to the rigs.

Yes they are tuna crack and they are hit and miss. My question is I am looking for cut bait. Red meat fish. Bonita, blue runners, jacks, etc..... So I can have cut bait with me already when I head out.

Like I said, the Asian grocery stores have blue runners, bonito, etc. You can buy a case flash frozen or individual fish not frozen.

Barracuda and rainbow runners are at those rigs also and work well when chunking. Fresh is best. Take the time to make bait.
