Taking the kids out to lake Lewisville for some fishing and was hoping some of you wonderful anglers can steer me in the right direction to make it an unforgettable trip.
I can go anytime and I do have a boat.
Thanks in advance!!!!

I troll the banks with deep divers and rat l traps. I wish I had taken a picture of my friends graph on sunday, bait and fish everywhere. No luck tho. I've had a hard time finding fish that will bite. If bait is plentiful fish are harder to catch. Look for drop offs and such.

Is it possible to do something your whole life and still be an ameteur?

Fish around mid-lake humps. Mornings seem to be more productive than evenings. I'm catching Hybrids off of shad in 27ish FOW around the humps. Shad are plentiful around the cut if you choose to go that route. Slabbing seems to be producing somewhat. Trolling deep divers is almost always productive this time of year. Take your pick.

But where and how can we get on the lake. If your boat isn't in the marina, is it even possible to get on the lake?

the trollers are having success around the cuts and shorelines near them. if I were you I would focus on a little shallower water than you normally would this time of year. Ive been filling the boat in 20FOW or less lately using slabs. As soon as the lake level drops a little I will transition to places like the gravel pits, the end of deadmans, and pocharus.. The good thing about it is that it appears that Lake Lew has turned around and is beginning to be a healthy fishery again. We have had a pair of very lean years so it is great seeing limits caught again on my home lake
