What in the @#%* happened to the lily pads behind the island? We have not fished HCL since February 2014 and thought we would give it a try today. To my shock ALL of the lily pads were gone! Not cut back; GONE! One of the main reasons we would go to HCl is those pads and top water action.

Did someone think that those pads were taking over the lake and decide to spray? GEEZ.

Many, many, many years ago we used to sight fish HC every spring because of the big bass & clear water. The state came in and sprayed the hydrilla which was thick and the clear water was never again. Surly they are not spraying pads too!?

The reason that organizations go in and spray vegetation is because it is taking over. The lily pads on HCL have not been a problem, can I promise you that! If they were just not as thick, I would blame it on something else. That's not the case. They area completely gone.

What a bunch of crud!
