Are the large channels in shallow water early and late?

It makes sense the catfish will be shallow some . The shad are spawning or have recently spawned on the lakes which means plenty of shallow food. Also, with the thermocline setting up on area lakes it gives the fish less water to live in. I really think time of day is not a huge factor on catfish location.

like i said most days i will stay there all day I will only go deep if the bit slow down other then that i fish the challis 1-6 ft in the stups or vegetation on waco Lime stone I will stay shallow all day I am going to go learn Mexia my self I have heard it is an extent lake for cats it is a shallow lake to be gin with with murky water but support to be extent fishing one the the biggest things is leaning to fish with the wind to you back and how to chum so it blow the sent straight from the boat so if you have to line up at an angle do bee it

You will catch better channels in the fall and winter as the water cools.
