Looking at getting my first float tube. I would like a good quality, comfortable one. Any suggestions?
Thanks

A few questions and answers will help nnarrow down the choices...

1) how much are you willing to spend?

2) how much use do you see it getting?

3) how much do you weigh?

4) do you mind your butt getting wet or do you want to sit higher in the water?

5) will you be able to drive and launch at waters edge or do you plan on hiking in for access? (Not so common in N. texas

6))how long do you see yourself sitting the the tube? 1-3 hour trips or longer?

Hands down the Fish Cat 4 is the best on the market. It sits higher in the water than most other tubes. It is stable and comfortable for hours at a time. I have spent 14 hours in the tube in a day's fishing.
