OK, let me ask a similar question to the one I haven't got an answer to: How do you get into and out of a U-shaped float tube that has a bar in the front? Do you remove the bar while getting in and out?

Yes. That type of tube is by far the easiest to get into and out of. The bar has a pocket on each side and a buckle along its length. Unbuckle it and remove the bar from one pockets. Lay it on the side of the tube. Walk into the water knee deep and sit in the tube. Lay the bar across you, slip it into the pocket and buckle it. Cinch it tight so it won't slide out of the pocket and you're off

If you're more visually inclined....

KD, thank you very much for the reply, I watched the video early today and saw that he removed the apron while getting in, but I didn't see a bar. That's why I was wondering if some people just permanently leave the bar out. Either way, your answer helps. I'll remove the bar and apron while getting in and out.

Apron is nice for catching things you might drop while retying or rigging. It's saved me a lot of frustration over the years

I can see how it would be helpful.
