I'm up here for work. Anyone know a good smallie guide in the Chicago area? TIA

Are you in the actual city or the suburbs?

I'm in Naperville but I could drive to the city if need be. Not many guides out here. Found one but he wants $350 for a half trip(4-5hr). That's too pricy in my opinion. I rather fish Fork for that price.

just an idea..... can you trade a free smallie trip with a guide up there for his trip to Fork sometime in the future? If it was me I'd do the trade.

Everything is going to be expensive up there. When I lived up there the Fox River in St Charles was a great place to go and pull good numbers of smallies out of from shore or wading. My friends husband is a guide for Musky up there, I'll see if he knows anyone that can get you on some smallies. How long are you gonna be there?

Fishing can be tough up there. I still live here and only know a few local ponds with black and spotted bass.
