Anybody name a few bridges around FW that are easy to access with tube for crappie fishing, and that may be fishable with all the water levels we got going on? I was thinking about Joe Pool (2 bridges), and Ray Roberts bridge, but not sure if the water is up so high at either, and may not even be able to get underneath them.

I've never tried the Lewisville bridge, but not even sure where I would park since it's on 35. Appreciate any help, anxious to try my new tube when it comes in. Need to get thumped soon or I'm gonna lose my mind.

Anybody ever fish the bridge at Lake Worth? I don't think it's good to eat the fish there, but may try and fish it.

Thanks.
Brandon Tipps

Lake Worth bridge is hit and miss. The crappie can be eaten...some will argue with you about that, but I've been eating them for yrs. Good bridge to tube though. Haven't been since the high water but I know its accessible. Good Luck!

If you Google map the Lewisville bridge your asking about you'll see there is a Marina around the corner from the bridge m try there first for the tube n crappie. I've seen guys tube there and have stringers of crappie jumping behind them.

If the fish don't bite your not baiting right...

Update on LW bridge...A buddy of mine and I went last Friday, and it was terrible. Caught some small fish, and only managed 4 keepers between the two of us. Plenty of water; however, the fishing was extremely slow. Perhaps the rain the day before had some effect, but just wanted to provide an update.
One thing for sure -- it can't get much worst, so chances are the next trip will be better. smile

Went this afternoon to LW for 2 hours in tube. Caught 7 small crappie and a decent channel cat.

First time in my new tube and really enjoyed it. Could probably sit in that thing all day long

Yeah I went alone. Them crappie on the bridge columns need to grow a little, but that's a really convenient place to tube, parking right by water is nice. I'll go try it again sometime soon.

Be sure and keep your life jacket on at all times especially if you're going alone.
Hope to see you out sometimes. What type of tube do you have? I have an Outcast Super Fat Cat

I bought a creek co from karp buster, and I like it. I'm sure I'll see ya out there sometime, but it'll probably be during work hours since this tubing business is so convenient

😀 during work hours huh? Well...I went again this morning and it was worst than last time. It was flat out terrible. We fished the 199 bridge over by casino park. May have to try the 820 bridge sometime soon.

fished ray roberts 3002 bridge Sunday mornings, and did quite a bit better. deep water though, took me a little while to figure out their depth. better fish, and more of them. not a whole lot of room above head, so i recommend a short rod.
