The Trophy Club Park website still says the park is closed due to flooding. A phone call to the park yielded a voice mail saying all the off-road and trails were closed. A call to parks admin resulted in only a voicemail to leave a message.
Anyone know when it will reopen? Is it closed to launching a kayak? What plans do they have?
Thanks.

I had similar question maybe someone can help...
Is there a place I can launch my bass hunter boat on the Vine now?
I used to put in at Murrell park is that possible at this time?

Ok - to answer both questions 1) Trophy club - closed but you can walk in and launch a kayak there - as of this past weekend when i swung by to check. Short 30-40 foot walk past the gate to the water. Small 10-15 car designated gravel parking area outside the gate (so you don't have to worry about tickets).
2) For a boat on the Vine - Murrell park is NOT an option and probably won't be until the water has dropped another 10+ feet Twincoves park might open first depending on if they can clean up the access road once the water drops enough. I think the only ramp open right now is Silverlake marina - for $20/pop. I doubt they'll have any other ramps open for weeks as the water is still way to high.

I used to put in at Murrell park is that possible at this time? I haven't been but a friend said the gate was open so they just parked and carried their kayaks to the water. If you have a cart you can pretty much launch anywhere you can walk to the water. As long as you're allowed to park in that area.

I read on the bass fishing thread yesterday that they are closing Silverlake temporarily for maintenance, just FYI.

I can launch anyplace I can park and can get to the waters edge safely.

The Trophy Club site says they will be needing volunteers to help clean up the park. Probably in September.
