Does anyone here bait a hole and use punch bait/dough bait in the winter time? I known a lot of people do in the summer I've just never heard or seen anyone do it in the winter time.

I fish year round using punch bait .I fish water 1 ft. to 15 ft. with fresh shad and punch bait .
This has worked for me the past 50+ years. When you find something new give it a try. you never know it may be the key to a great day on the water.

I use Lewis King Select punch bait yearround....the fishing is a little slower in the winter due to the slow activity of the fish and the bait does not disperse as fast in the winter...

Stubby in your opinion is fishing with the cheese bait/punch bait/dough bait slower in the winter?

Chemdawgs can be used in the winter. He has a winter blend where he makes it softer. The cold water it does not desolve the normal Sumer blend as fast. After some messing around he can up with it. Do to the high oils content it works quite well with just chum. You will have to go out deeper then 2-6 ft. I used it all last winter with the way he mad it. I know he only made it for a few people do demand slowed. I think he he said he only made it for like 30 people all winter. But it will deffenletly catch fish in cold water. If you want it I. The winter all u have to is order it. I know he said he was going to Guid this winter with it. He is doing great with that.

Yes My dough bait and the dip bait i should have ready in a few days will both work in cold water. I Found my make it a bit softer it broke done ust like it did when the somer month. And Yes he is right i do plan on guiding through the winter and the size of the fish just depend on what lake i fish Waco produce much larger fish then limestone. But my mother in law does all the cooking and and she doest like them to be over 15in she say any bigger and they dont tast that. so we dont bring any thing home any bigger i had 3 older women the other day on lime stone and andy thing over 1/2 hey through them back said the same thing. but back on topic if you chum up a spot and and drop down some cheese

In the cold winter months it will take more than a bucket of soured grain to catch a mess day after day after day.
I had to pay the price a long time ago to learn what to use.
