Anyone ever been to Coleto Creek Reservoir? It is a great little lake near Victoria and it is LOADED with bass, cats, crappie and bream. We were fortunate to spend three days on the lake this past week and we had a blast. The weather was perfect. 80-90 degrees with light winds the whole trip. The water was clear with visibility at about 4-5 feet the water is so clear. There are stumps and trees and vegetation all along the 20' deep channel through the lake. The bass are everywhere around vegetation on banks and trees in shallow, points and humps. Crappie were holding at 12-15' in 15-20' of water. Cats were plentiful in coves and low areas. We managed to catch dinner all three days and had fish to bring home to boot!
If you have never been to Coleto Creek you should definitely put it on your "lakes to visit" bucket list.
