In honor of one of our anglers that passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack, we are fishing the 17th as a Benefit T, where 1/2 of the payout will go to his family. The other 1/2 will still be split 70% and 30% for the first two finishers. 1/2 of the big bass pot will also go to the family of Gary Bennett, as well. Fish normal hours and rules and regulations. Same entry fee as before, $20 with an optional $5 big bass pot. I hope the anglers understand why we are doing this. In Memory of Gary Bennett. Respectfully,

We had 13 fishermen fish the Gary Bennett Benefit T, with a newcomer, Joel Lanier winning it. His big fish was 1-12 and he had a total of 2-11 on 2 fish. Jeremy Pool placed 2nd with a big fish of 1-7 and a total of 2-4 (Jeremy donated his winnings to the Benefit T as well, so we came up with $201.50 for his benefit. Not bad for a working man's T. Had 3 new people fish it. Tuff fishing as only 3 people recorded multiple fish and 3 had single fish. The ones that caught them said they caught them on black spinnerbaits slow rolled in the new growth. We caught some fish on topwater, but only 1, on a Yellow Magic. Shakey head worms also took a few fish, mostly shallow. Hope this helps.
