Looking for tips about harbor fishing. Just bought a kayak and I love right next to a harbor the main species are striped bass, blue fish and flounders. And there's tons of baitfish and squid around.

I have spent many years chasing stripers in the Chesapeak Bay (estuary) and Delaware Bay (estuary). What you describe sounds like that area. If it is I can help. #1 live bait is blood worms #1 artificial is any big saltwater jerk bait. East side of bay bridge where the water drops off produces big striper upper bay has huge flats in spring the really huge ones hang out there waiting to go up the rivers to spawn. The lower Chesapeak around bridge tunnel is awsome. There are so many places to fish lots of largemouth Bass in the rivers too. I forgot the #1 dead bait is chicken breast cut into strips works better than squid cheaper too.

The most popular bluefish bait is a peice of colored plastic tube and hook cast then retrieve. Flounder eat the chicken strips. Hope this helps. Brain workin slow today.
