Anyone have an idea at what level they will start opening Joe Pool? Seemed like at 11 ft, Loyd park was open. Am wondering if they are going to wait till it gets almost to 0 or will open as the ramp is usable. Took 2 weeks of vacation planning for it to be down by now. Of course the one year that I buy the season pass this happens.

I feel your pain. Bought the season pass for the first time myself and got to use it once before the lake was closed.

Gonna say around 7' to 8' high. At the rate they are releasing I'm thinking maybe middle August.

Well I believe Loyd park opened the parts of the park facilities that they could, just no swimming or boating so I am hoping they will be the same for the boat ramp.
If it were 7 to 8 ft high, at the rate they are releasing I believe it would be closer to November. I really miss having that as a close option

Joe Pool is still over 11 ft. high. It's going to be sept more than likely or longer is what they told me at Cedar Hill State park today. went by there to check it out as I was close and just went down in the park to look. wouldn't even let me past the entrance building. But you could still see the water covering the road to the boat ramp.

The last time I went to Loyd Park was a couple of weeks ago. I think the water is still about as high today as it was then. The parking lot at the launch was underwater and the water was up the road a ways. I'm sure I still could have launched my boat, I may have to paddle a little ways, but I could do it!
