I'm wanting to rent a bass boat for the day at Lake Fork. $150 doesn't seem like a bad deal to me, especially after splitting the cost with my buddy. My question is...what do I need to have other than my DL, fishing license, and money to do so? I don't have much experience driving a boat, so how does that factor into their allowing me to rent one? I see they do launch and recover the boat for you, just unsure about the process. Any advice on particular boat rental places or advice on renting a boat period? Thanks in advance.

If you're going to spend $150, why not just go ahead and hire a guide?

I've used Ricky's before with extra family in town. They are super cool peeps and will help you through the process.

$150 isn't even half as much as the Fork guides charge. Rental charge isn't that bad.

Sweet...I just emailed Ricky's about availability. A lot of the reviews said the same thing you did about their services. Thanks for the advice.

As far as the guide, we'll see how it goes the first time around. If I can't find any fish I'll look into that. Thanks as well for the suggestion.

Hummmmm let's see 150 bucks for a 24 hr rental or 425-500 bucks for a guide for 7-8 hrs
I'm not that good with math but I see a pretty big difference

Tie up to a boat lane buoy and tight line minners.

There is a lot of guides running discount rates for the summer months. And none of the guides I've been around will cut you off at 8 hours unless the fishing is just awful. Might look in plugs section before you make a decision

A Credit Card.If you dont bring that you wont get one.

Ive used both at fork, both are great. J&J, AND Ricky's. I made the mistake some time of not bringing one. my 70 year old MOM had to rent it for me LOL.

Thats all. The credit card I guess is if you wreck, sink, or damage the boat,
