First time posting a fishing report... I hope all the photo's are small enough I made sure they are each under 800 pixel width.

My dad and I hit the lake about 7:30 on a Tuesday in which my boss told me to take a paid day fishing! We were fishing BP's 15-20 ft deep, I was using mainly bonehead stump bug's (Blue Ice) with a proangler 10ft rod, and Malcolm's slab slobber. My dad was using minnows.

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of fishing Ray Hubbard with Tommy Ezell, he definitely taught us how to scan for our own brush and what to look for when trying to find some crappie. He also taught us the basics of jigging and different techniques to try out when fishing. We put these learned skills to the test on Tuesday.

We hit a few BP's early with little luck so we decided to scan some areas we had not previously looked at. I should have gotten a screen shot from our Lowrance HDS 12 gen 3, it looked like a Christmas tree farm where we caught the bulk of our fish. We limited out by 3:30 and headed home. Was the best Crappie trip we have ever had. A few nice size crappie and we probably threw back about 30 undersized fish along with a fair share of perch and small bass.

Thanks for reading my post! Hope you all enjoy the pictures. Hopefully I will have many more excellent trips to share. I have learned alot about Crappie fishing from these forums and Tommy, if your just starting out I would definitely recommend hiring him if you are able to swing the funds, it was a undeniably priceless adventure.

Great post. Can't beat spending quality time wit your dad, and catching fish as well. You are doubly blessed. Nice slabs as well.. What lake were you fishing? By the way, you have a great boss as well, at least on this day!!!

The lowrance with the touch screen is super easy to use. Can mark fish and structure without even stopping the boat. Definitely think the touch screen was worth it.

That's great. I knew you'd be able to operate it and find them by the way you payed attention and easily understood what was being seen on my graph. You guys made me realize what I am doing is 100% worth the time spent. Thanks!
