Found this attached to a half submerged tree on Benbrook today. It was covered in algea with a clear jelly-like inside to it. Almost made me think of a jellyfish, anybody know what the heck it is?

looked like a softshell turtle with no head or limbs lol

i think these are the same thing you see at fork sometimes.

did you put it back? It's a living thing that is part of the ecosystem lol

They taste pretty good sliced thin and fried in butter.

We saw a bunch of this out at Amon Carter this week too, I was also wondering what it was.

I herd from a feller one time that that thing rite der means dat the lake is fruitful or very hellthy... Mmmhmmm yep!

I've always heard em called freshwater jellyfish.
