Mr Remanon, were they using surf rods to catch the sandies?

Yea some, but weren't necessary. Went back today. A nice Hispanic guy brought his daughter and her 1.5 foot barbie pole and handed her a worm. Kid out fished us for the first 3 hours. She dropped it down and let it float against the wall below us. Should have seen the look on EVERYONES face when the rod doubled over for the first time. the dad taught everyone some new words today lol. Looked at me and said "how do I get this up here". Was a sight to watch. They closed up 2 of them, so down to 10 of 12 open there today which Made a nice break in the corner, so I kept casting there and pullin in sandies and cats on cut fresh shad all day long. Was a good day. Ended up throwing cut bait in the current breaks and jigging for sandies with the micro gear. Also learned to use a cast net which is the greatest invention known to man I think.

Thanks for the advice. Made several trips up there before they let out 12 gates. Never caught a sandy there yet.
